Recap of 2nd Annual Halloween Fundraiser

We had a successful and amazing 2nd Annual Halloween Fundraiser 2025! We can’t do this without any of you who support the cause.

For the 2nd year in a row, we raised over $20,000.

We are so proud to announce a $10,000 donation to the Gynecology Oncology Fund at Miami Cancer Institute, supporting woman affected by ovarian, uterine, cervical, vaginal and vulval cancers.

This fund not only advances cutting-edge research snd treatment, but also supports early detection, prevention initiatives, patient education, survivorship programs, and vital resources for patients and their families during some of the life’s hardest moments.

In 2025, through all of our events, we raised over $22,000. This donation represents a portion of those funds, with the remaining fund being held to directly support individuals in need- helping with medical bills, treatments, and other financial burdens that come with a cancer diagnosis.

Coming in 2026, Frenz for a Cause is shifting our focus to children, with plans to support and donate to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital alongside the Miami Cancer Institute.

Our signature Halloween party is official locked in for year 3 on October 24th, 2026 (Saturday). Make sure to save the date as you don’t want to miss this one!

2nd Annual Halloween Fantasy Fundraiser

The Annual Halloween Fantasy Fundraiser is a signature event hosted by Frenz for a Cause that blends fun, community, and philanthropy into one unforgettable night. Guests are invited to step into a world of fantasy and creativity with costumes, themed entertainment, and a costume contest (come to impress!), along with a buffet-style spread of finger foods 🍴, a 3-hour open bar 🍸, and plenty of DJ-spun music, dancing, and good vibes all night 💃🕺.

More than just a celebration, this event is about celebrating life while giving back. Every ticket, sponsorship, and donation supports our mission to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, prevention, and support – honoring the legacy of our foundation while fueling hope for the future.

It’s a night where fantasy meets purpose—bringing together friends, families, and supporters to enjoy the magic of Halloween while making a meaningful difference.

Support Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research through Fitness

Join us for a high energy, one hour strength & conditioning class!Fitness Fight Against Cancer, a special event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast and ovarian cancer research. 

This one-hour  workout will take place on Saturday, August 16th, check-in 12:15 PM, workout start at 1 PM, at Anatomy Coconut Grove.

All proceeds will be donated to breast and ovarian cancer research, supporting the fight against these devastating diseases. 

Enjoy a rejuvenating session while also benefiting from B12 shots + electrolytes, healthy bites, stretching and giveaways!

Join us for our 1st annual ‘Fantasy Fundraiser’ costume party for lung cancer and lymphoma research, awareness and prevention.

Come dress up with your all time best costume and have fun at the dance floor! Oh we have the 360 photo booth on site so make you come photo/video ready 😉

Founder of Frenz For a Cause

Harriet A Varellas

The founder of Frenz for a Cause. These pictures were taken at two of our three annual Halloween Masquerade Extravaganza charity events. Harriet lost her mother to Pancreatic Cancer in October, 2001. Frenz for a Cause was established in October 2010 to memorialize her mother’s short life of 52. While preparing for the second annual Masquerade Extravaganza, Harriet caught pneumonia and after frequent doctors visits and tests she learned she had lung cancer at the age of 42. She spent the third Masquerade Extravaganza of October 2012 in the hospital due to a small stroke. She fought very hard and after a year and a half of fighting she passed away in March of 2013. At the young age of 44, she left behind a husband, two daughters, a brother and father, numerous family members and countless friends. Frenz for a Cause will not be the same without her. We made a promise to continue this cause now in both her and her mother’s memories. This non-profit fundraising group donates to the Lustgarten foundation for Pancreatic Cancer, the leukemia and lymphoma foundation, Operating Smile, Save Lauren’s heart, Sloan Kettering breast cancer unit and many more.
